Whether we were camping, taxiing to a sports event or just running errands.

This vehicle was "me" in metal, gears and paint!!

In 2008 I starting looking for a new vehicle, in my mind I was looking for another 4 door sedan (yawn), but affordable. Brandon and I started going from lot to lot, but just couldn't find a car that fit our needs. Enter stage right, Cedric Theel Dodge. We were on the lot and Brandon said, "mom, what about that one, it's cool." Alright, we walked over checked it out and BAHM sticker shock!! I could afford this! Enter stage left, our salesmen. Can you believe I used to babysit this guy (which will be used to my advantage). I told them that if I could fit ALL of my camping gear in the car I would make an offer. Took it home, packed it all in including 2 boys and 3 bikes! I asked a friend of mine to come help me do math and work out a negotiation plan. Moments later I was putting an offer of $7,000 tax + title + license. I tugged at the financial guy telling him to give me this deal since I had to babysit his employee. Sure enough! It worked. SOLD!!

This was the start of a beautiful relationship!

Even when Mike was in the hospital for engine repairs, in physical therapy after a fender bender or orthopedics for a broken window, I kept the faith that he would keep getting me to and from work, for the last year or two, that's all he could do.

So many wonderful memories were made with Mike. Many trips with many passengers to the Black Hills of SD. Countless trips to high school track meets, NDSU football games and all over MN, SD and ND camping and exploring!

Saying good-bye or see-ya-later was not easy. Mike went to live on a farm/ranch in ND where teenage boys have put their hard earned $$ into making him come back to life. For this I am grateful. I am told by this family that he will still be called Mike!
